Rehersals begin August 29 on Tuesdays 6:45PM @ NMSU rehearsal hall.
The New Horizons Band provides an entry point for music making for adults, including those with no musical experience at all and also those who were active in school music programs but have been inactive for a long period.
Director: Judy Bethmann.
Judy Bethmann, Director, graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt. Pleasant with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. Judy taught in Iowa for 30 years before moving to Las Cruces in 2001. She retired as Band Director and Elementary music teacher at White Sands in 2013. She is active in community theater, P.E.O., is Vice President at Wellspring Church, plays in the New Horizons Orchestra and is Conductor of the New Horizons Band.
